Wedding & Engagement

Some engagement rings will be shaped and not have a flat edge where a straight edged wedding band can sit comfortably. The best option for a shaped engagement ring is to have a shape-to-fit wedding ring.

You can visit the workshop with your engagement ring and Lora can usually make a wax model the same day so that you are not without your engagement ring and you will also be able to see the unique design as a 3D wax model first. A complimentary polish to your engagement ring will also be given.

The process:

  • Wax model shaping – A wax model is made as an impression following the shaped edge of your engagement ring to ensure a perfect fit.
  • Fitting and Consultation – An opportunity for you to see how your new ring will look and for you to discuss the different metal options along with any stones you may require.
  • Casting – This is where your new ring starts to come to life, and although at this stage your ring will still be in its rough form, Lora will be able to work on it and bring it towards the finished piece
  • Fitting, Finishing and Hallmarking – At this stage, another fitting may be require just to tweak any edges and to ensure a perfect fit, alterations to size can be made at this stage before any stones are set, but otherwise your special new ring will be finished and sent to have its hallmark.
